Review: Snow Tap
Snow Tap, created by DJM Development, is a simple application that allows you to create snowfall through the touch of your finger. While creating snowflakes yourself can be fun, I find it disappointing that they are all created in one default large size. I think it would be nice to have the option of changing the size of the snowflakes to offer some kind of variety, but that's just me.
The snowflakes themselves do look nice. Animation is smooth and the visuals have that wintry look going on, which is to be expected in an app like this. While you cannot change the snowflakes' size, you can change the background color six different ways: black, blue, green, orange, red and purple. That is basically all there is to this app; touch the screen and snowflakes appear.
Snow Tap currently sells for $0.99 and honestly, I have a hard time recommending this app. It doesn't offer enough variety to warrant paying a dollar. If it had more options, then it would be a different story. It's a nice app; it just needs more options for the user to enjoy.

You review this but not even the official TC1 App, thats really sad
i think Bob is right you review this app but not ur own
I think that you should have Reviewed your own personal application that was made for you to let people know instead of having the social blog just writing about it.
Last I checked this is David's website, and he can do whatever he wants with it. Keep in mind all what he has done for the community before you start bitching. The TC1 app was reviewed on the Social Blog, and David promoted it.
David didn't not promote the app i follow him on twitter and i am subbed to him on youtube. Also, i visit the the site almost everyday. He never promoted his app
Go look at your app!!
Stan, I did promote my app via Twitter, so please don't make assumptions. David Banther is correct. And secondly, can everyone please concentrate on this particular blog entry? If you have a suggestion or complaint, email me. I listen to everyone's feedback and take it seriously.
Lastly, I don't think I should be the one to review my own app. That seems a little one-sided, in my opinion. I would love for someone else to review it, though.
Guys, I am the developer of the TC1 app and do I care if David makes a review, no. David chooses what he reviews and when he reviews it no matter if it was made for him or just plain given to him to look at. David promoted the app via twitter and to me that was enough. Stop the hate.
whether he promotes the app or not David is a great youtuber and runs a great website. i just thought he should make a video to let more people know about the app not even a review.
I'll most likely be promoting the app in "Geek Update 4.0" when it is ready.
Come on...I hate retarded people. It's David's freakin website. He does a wonderful job running it and this is how you repay him? really? Jeese...Great Review David and don't listen to the tards that have left the stupid comments...there just jealous:)
Why must everyone complain so much about the slightest thing David does? He made a blog post for the first time in weeks and instead of supporting him and thanking him, most of you stupid people complain about the things he reviews. What do you care? If you don't like his content, don't look at it. Its that simple. Think about it this way, the only way you were able to type that comment on this web page was because of him, so stop complaining and get a life. Do you really think he's going to hear you out if you just post a meaningless comment on his post? Your so annoying that he updated his twitter about these dumb complaints. If you wan't to bitch about it that much, message him.
not everyone is going to like everything David does, now i don't necessarily agree with the negativity in this particular case....but i do think at times negative feedback is important...
I'm going to start this comment by actually commenting on something that has relevance to this posting. So here goes: If this app were free, I think it would be a fun "look at this" kind of thing. But, if I were going to pay .99 cents for it, I'd like the quality of the app to be a little better and perhaps make some sort of holiday type noise in the background.
That being said, I would like to share my thoughts on this whole unrelated app review "controversy" This is the second time I have found myself in a position where I feel the need to comment on something that has happened in response to one of David's blog postings. Now, this may not be my place to say any of this, and if that is the case, David knows he has every right to remove this comment without me being offended.
I am not going to make the "this is David's website and he can do what he wants" argument, because that goes without saying. What I find amazing about this whole situation... is that one person can start a chain of unrelated, and very unnecessary comments. I have no idea how someone could read a review of a simple application and proceed to think about another application... that had absolutely nothing to do with the posting itself, and continue to write about it in the comments. In my opinion, that type of thing is done only to draw attention and intentionally spur this type of reaction.
I can say with certainty that David does not mind hearing the thoughts of his online community. While I can't speak for him, I would even goes as far as to say that he appreciates the feedback/questions/constructive criticism. My problem with this situation lies not within what or is being said, but instead where and why. David continues to make himself very available to everyone who would like to contact him, if you have have an issue you would like to address with him, I would think that e-mailing him (at an email address he freely gives out) is the most appropriate form to address anything you see fit. There is no need to state unrelated thoughts or opinions on a public forum.
We have to remember that this website does not exist for David's well being. He created and maintains this website for the benefit of others, and I, quite frankly don't see the need for what I view as unnecessary criticism.
Again, I am trying to speak for David, as he is more then capable of speaking for himself. But, I do feel the need to remind everyone to keep things in prospective. If you have something you would like to say, fine... just be sure to do so at the right time, in the right place.
