iPhone 3.0: Your thoughts?
Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the past 24 hours, you already know that Apple announced the iPhone OS 3.0 SDK. While they definitely impressed many people, including myself, there are still some features users would like to see. So my question to everyone reading this, what are they?
The only real request I have, besides Flash support, is still MMS. I find it really hard to believe that the original iPhone cannot handle MMS. Why is that we can send pictures via email and not text message? I realize it may have something to do with using the correct radio antenna. However I think this is Apple's way of wanting their customers to upgrade to either an iPhone 3G or possibly a newer model to be announced in a few months. I'm hoping something good comes out of this, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
And in case you haven't seen it yet, below is my video with my thoughts on yesterday's announcements:

This update is huge, and some of the features are well over due! But it's good they are finally here. Now I just need to get an iPhone.
Being an iPhone 3G owner, I'm happy with this but one thing that I would be happy with is video recording for YouTube ;)
So far, I'm perfectly pleased with apple. Maybe a way to set the background behind SMS messages or your home screen to a picture, instead of just the default solid colours would be nice, but these are all minor details.
I'm just hoping Apple will allow the new Fennec mobile browser from Mozilla (the creators of Firefox) onto the iPhone/iPod.
Oh, and I hope they don't charge us iPod users for the update again. That goes for the iPhone users too.
Other than that, this new update looks golden! I can't wait for the iPod OS 3.0 update!
I'm really loving the new features. I only have an iPod Touch, but for once it feels like this update is actually worth the money.
And about Flash support: you might've already heard it, but Adobe and Apple are working hard together to get Flash on the iPhone. Unfortunately I can't cite the the source, as I don't remember where I read it.... buuut they supposedly have been working on it for a while.
This is important for me too, seeing as I am a Flash developer(a crappy one at that, though).
Hey dave, my dad ran into this problem also with the MMS. Have your friend send it to you at Yournumber@txt.att.net , Say your number was 1231-347-1122 you would type 12313475378@txt.att.net in the send to box. It should appear in your inbox. Or they can just put in your email for the send to in the message box. Both ways worked for us. Thanks Dave, and nice videos keep it up!
Hopefully Apple releases a new iphone, i might have to switch back from my Blackberry
