After Almost 11 Years, Trillian for the Mac is Here

In 2000, Trillian was officially started, and it took them almost 11 full years to come to the Mac. Chris Pirillo Tweeted a link that Trillian Alpha for the Mac was released. It seems pretty decent for a Trillian app, considering my Review on Trillian for the iPhone was very negative, considering the poor user interface the app provided. However, the Mac version of Trillian is alright, it comes NOWHERE near iChat in stability, but for those of you who want MSN, Yahoo Messenger, or ICQ, and don't want to use Adium, this would be a good alternative, since it supports the stuff iChat doesn't.

The list of Clients you can use in Trillian for the Mac.

The UI of Trillian is not bad, however, the buddies screen is horrendous. Even MSN's official client, or even AIM's official client can do better.

Here's a pic:

Although, the conversation window is very iChat like, and very nice.

Overall, Trillian for the Mac is decent. Compared to others, it doesn't quite beat iChat, but I think it's a step up from Adium. If they make the buddies window look better, it has lot of potential.

Honestly with Adium out and already the best IM client for Mac, can Trillian beat Adium? Adium is very customisable and I feel that Trillian won't be. Trillian is about 5 years too late...

It beats Adium, but doesn't beat iChat.
